How do we personalize your books, etc?

  • Most books have a small image field area on the front covers where we can stamp your company name, logo, address, phone, fax, and website. (typically 2 ½" x 4" and 3 ½" x 4 ¼" sizes - depending upon the book). Check with Customer Service to be sure.
  • Orders under 150 copies are charged a $50 minimum stamping fee.
  • Logos, non-standard type fonts, messages, etc. require a metal die. There is a one-time $45 NEW die fee. And, only $25 set-up fee on future orders.
  • Proof Copies of your cover layout will be sent for final approval before stamping.

How should electronic files be sent to Financial Publishing? We currently support the following image file types:

  • Adobe Photoshop (Macintosh or PC)
  • BMP (Windows bitmap)
  • EPS (image only, Adobe)
  • PDF (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document File)
  • TIF (Tagged Image Bitmap File, TIFF)

Both bmp and tif files can be modified here to accommodate minor alterations (size changes and verbiage additions) at a nominal fee of $50 per half hour (minimum $75 fee for first hour). Logo clean-up also falls under this fee schedule.

What are the Important Tips for sending in good images the first time?

  • Image Resolution must be a minimum of 300 dpi. Anything less will result in less than perfect stamped images.
  • Shaded areas in logos will not come out shaded, rather same as the printed areas.
  • Black & white images work best for transfer clarity onto the metal die.
  • 12 and 10 pt font sizes result in the best small readable stamped images. Anything smaller is hard to quickly distinguish on stamped images.
  • Trademarks ™/B> or registered trademarks ® or copyright © insignias must be a minimum 8 pt to register on a metal die.
  • EPS and PDF files must be sent in exact file size with no additional work required.
  • Rear Cover stamping may also require a separate die and in addition to the second die charge of $45 or $25 set-up, there is a $.20 per book second stamping fee for rear covers.

What if I don't have an electronic version of my logo available?

  • Good, clean camera-ready artwork can be mailed to us at the address below. However, this must be sent in a black & white, scannable print. Hourly rate modification charges will apply. Proof copies will be faxed for final approval.
  • Or, call for exact sizing before submitting your final camera-ready copy.

Is there a minimum quantity for personalizing your products?

  • There is a minimum stamping quantity of 25 copies due to set-up time on the equipment.
  • Orders under 150 copies are charged a $50 minimum stamping fee, in addition to any logo modification & die charges.

How long will it take if I want a logo stamped on the covers vs. standard letters?

  • Standard letter stampings, once approval of the Proof is faxed back to us, takes approximately 2 weeks (depending upon current production schedules).
  • Logo stampings, once approval of the Proof is faxed back to us, takes approximately 3-4 weeks (depending upon current production schedules).

Must we prepay for our new order?

  • Payments must be made in advance on all new & personalized orders.
  • We accept your personal and company check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express charge cards.
  • Company authorized Purchase Orders are acceptable authorization to bill you upon completion and shipment of your order, once established credit is made.
